Coming soon...?
Are The Maccabees teasing an upcoming announcement?
The beloved indie band went on hiatus in 2016, but they’ve just updated their social media profiles…

The Maccabees - one of the best-loved indie bands of recent decades - have hinted that there may well be some exciting news on the horizon, after their social media accounts were updated earlier today (23rd October) with a fetching new orange and white logo, whilst a sign-up link to their mailing list has been shared on their Instagram Story.
Releasing their debut album ‘Colour It In’ in 2007, the band put out three more LPs over the next eight years - ‘Wall Of Arms’ (2009), ‘Given To The Wild’ (2012), and ‘Marks To Prove It’ (2015) - before announcing in 2016 via a just-deleted (!) Instagram post that they’d “decided to call it a day”.
Since then, the members have all gone on to find success with other endeavours: vocalist Orlando Weeks has released three solo albums (most recently this June’s ‘LOJA’), while Felix and Hugo White shared their debut LP as 86TVS (alongside brother Will White and Noisettes/Stereophonics drummer Jamie Morrison) in August.
What could it mean: an anniversary tour for ‘Marks To Prove It’? A reunion? Even - whisper it - new music? Watch this space, and check out The Maccabees’ cryptic clue below…
