It seems like only five minutes since Long Island, New York five-piece The Movielife reformed, and now, they’ve confirmed plans to cross the Atlantic and visit our shores again.

Back when the band confirmed their plans for a reunion tour, the band also hinted at the possibility of some UK shows. “I don’t think the UK would allow us to reunite and not come visit them,” Vinnie Caruana said, “I think the hatred and frustration would implode the whole country, so we’re definitely going to come over there, I think. I mean, I’d like to. Brandon and I are the two biggest Anglophiles in the band, so the two of us definitely want to visit.” This was then followed up by a tweet directed to DIY, which confirmed “UK gigs are getting sorted now :)”

Now the band have come good on their promise: they’ve just announced two shows, set to take place in London and Manchester later this year.

They’ll be playing at the Electric Ballroom in London, and Academy 2 in Manchester this June.
