The National play gig in support of Hillary Clinton
The U.S. presidential election is next week. Welp.
With the U.S. presidential election rearing its ugly and slightly terrifying head (the vote’s on 8th November) The National have lent their support to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, playing a night as part of the Get Out The Vote concert series. The likes of Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Jon Bon Jovi are also playing shows, with more announcements expected.
Backed by stars and stripes, The National played in their hometown, Cincinnati, Ohio. Absolutely tonnes of musicians have been coming out in force to support the Democrats as of late including Jay-Z and Le Tigre.
Elsewhere, The National have been working on their new album, and cheerily, it’s “about marriages falling apart”.
