The New Pornographers announce drummer’s departure
“We wish him the best”, says the band’s statement about Kurt Dahle.
The New Pornographers released latest album, ‘Brill Bruisers’ late last month, the record the Canadians’ sixth studio effort.
With the band in the midst of touring the album across North America, an announcement was posted on their Facebook page yesterday announcing the departure of drummer, Kurt Dahle.
“Kurt Dahle is leaving the New Pornographers,” it read. “It has been a great 15 years playing with an amazing drummer, singer and performer. We wish him the best.
Everything is still full steam ahead with the band and we look forward to continued rocking and singing of songs.”
The New Pornographers resume their US dates with Iron & Wine on 20th September in Columbus, OH. They return to the UK briefly this December as part of a short European tour.
