The Prodigy Join Sonisphere 2014 As Third Headliner

The Prodigy have been confirmed as the final headliner for next year’s Sonisphere Festival.

Joining the already-confirmed rock titans Metallica and Iron Maiden, the trio have been confirmed to headline the opening night of the weekender.

The three-day festival, which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of events taking place at Knebworth, will run next summer from 4th to 6th July. Whilst The Prodigy will be opening proceedings on Friday, Iron Maiden will conduct the final night of their ‘Maiden England’ tour on the Saturday evening. with Metallica dedicating their Sunday night set to ‘Metallica By Request’, allowing fans to pick exactly which songs they perform.

Speaking of their headline slot, The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett has said: ‘We can’t wait to play Sonisphere 2014, we will be hitting you with some brand new beats and noise.’
