The Rapture announce reunion shows

New York heroes The Rapture broke up in 2014, three years after releasing their ‘In The Grace Of Your Love’ LP.

Five years later, the band’s frontman Luke Jenner has revealed that they’re set to reunite for two shows (so far) this year.

The band will play the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on 30th April - the site of their last show in 2012, no less - before playing the Just Like Heaven festival in Long Beach, California alongside Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix and more on 4th May.

“It’s been this long gritty road trying to figure out how to be a father and a husband which seemed a lot more important than standing on stage in front of anyone,” Luke wrote in a statement. “We went to therapy, we talked it out, it’s still a little weird, but I couldn’t do it if I didn’t feel like it was gonna be some kinda personal progress. Anyway, I hope there is a long future for us and we can build something new. Maybe you will join us someplace along the way again.”
