Football crazy! Football mad!
It’s coming home! The Rhythm Method share World Cup song ‘Chin Up’ ft Wolf Alice and Swim Deep
Bring on 14th June, to be honest.
The World Cup is only six (six!) days away, and until now we’ve felt a little bit of an absence of national pride in the run-up to The Big One, musically speaking, at least.
The days of ‘Three Lions’, ‘World In Motion’ and even ‘On The Ball’ to be honest felt long gone.
Seems like someone at The Rhythm Method HQ heard our cries, though: they’ve just shared ‘Chin Up’, an absolute belter of a World Cup song to unite the country and send us forth towards glory (or losing on penalties in the quarters, who knows..).
‘Chin Up’ has everything - earworm chorus? Check. Lyrics about “A plastic chair, thrown across a European market square”? Check. Brilliantly, shamelessly cheesy ’80s synths? Triple check. Members of Wolf Alice and Swim Deep making cameos to help rally our boys home to glory? Yes, also that.
Watch ‘Chin Up’ and fully believe that football’s coming home below.
