The Stone Roses Reach Out Regarding Missing Persons Appeal

Christopher Brahney, 22, went missing after the show at Heaton Park on the 29th June.

The Stones Roses have now urged any attendees of their recent Heaton Park show to aid the Missing Person Appeal, in aid of Christopher Brahney.

The 22 year old attended the show in Manchester on the evening of the 29th June, and has since been missing, after last being seen by his friends at around 11.30pm that night.

The statement issued by the band states that ‘Christopher is white of slim build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue top, light blue shirt, maroon trousers and green wellington boots.

It is now understood that Christopher may have used the Park and Ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, towards Middleton.

Christopher may have been seen getting off a bus at the Park and Ride shortly before midnight on Friday 29 June 2012.

Speaking of the incident, Detective Chief Inspector Melani Linton has said: “Christopher’s family are clearly very worried about him and are desperate for any information relating to his whereabouts.

We believe Chris may have used the park and ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, Middleton. There were dozens of coaches in the car park with destinations all over the country.

Chris could have got on one of these coaches, did you see him or speak to him?

I would urge anyone with any information to contact the police, this could be vital to our investigation and provide some much needed answers for his family.

Christopher, if you see or hear this appeal, we would ask that you make contact with us or your family as soon as possible.”

The band themselves have also made a statement regarding Christopher’s disappearance: ‘If you saw Christopher at the end of the evening please get in touch with Greater Manchester Police and spread the word to everyone who came to the show. Our thoughts are with Christopher’s family and we all want to see him back at home safe and sound.’

If you have any information, or can aid the investigation in any way, please call the police on 0161 856 7652.
