The Vaccines appear to reveal new album details
Sudden Facebook posts fire up third album discussions.
The Vaccines stoked the rumour mill alight last night, with talk surrounding their as yet unannounced third album. Mercury Rev & Flaming Lips producer Dave Fridmann is thought to be at the desk.
The four-piece posted a mysterious picture on Facebook, displaying guitarist Freddie Cowan lying on top of sheets of paper, detailing what appears to be song names and setlists.
On select pieces, song names not yet related to the band appear, in the form of ‘Denial’, ‘Dream Lover’ and ‘I Want You So Bad’, sparking interest in whether the group were about to announce details on a new album, their first LP since 2012’s ‘Coming of Age’.
The picture was followed by another image, simply showing the band’s logo with the line, ‘Coming Soon’, in a black & white scheme. Both photos have since become the band’s cover photo and profile picture, inciting further interest as to whether there’s an upcoming announcement from the band.
The band’s last release was the ‘Melody Calling’ EP, which was released in August 2013. The group have released two studio albums, ‘Coming of Age’ and their first record, ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines’ in 2011.
