The Velvet Underground & Nico Gets 45th Anniversary Reissue

To celebrate 45 years since The Velvet Underground joined forces with Nico and Andy Warhol and released their seminal debut, it has been announced that The Velvet Underground And Nico is to be reissued in a six cd box set.

Containing the original mono and stereo releases, as well as extras such as a single voiced version of All Tomorrow’s Parties, and alternate mixes of Heroin and I’ll Be Your Mirror, the set will also feature Nico’s Chelsea Girl, which featured Lou Reed, John Cale and Sterling Morrison as musicians. For long-term fans of the band, there will also be a disc of previously unreleased Factory rehearsals, including two alternate versions of There She Goes Again.

The album was last reissued with a deluxe version in 2002.
