Back to basics
The Xcerts have shared an alternate version of ‘Feels Like Falling In Love’
It’s a stripped-back version of their recent single.

They’re set to open up the main stage at Reading & Leeds this weekend, and to celebrate The Xcerts have shared a new version of their recent ‘Feels Like Falling In Love’.
The new version of the track – which is their first since 2014’s ‘There Is Only You’ – strips the tune back to its bare essentials. Frontman Murray Macleod said of the version: Murray Macleod - “We are delighted to share the alternative version of Feels Like Falling In Love. The reaction to the single has been nothing short of incredible and we felt compelled to work on a quiet version of the song to show it in its purest form. Tom Petty once said, you can tell if a song is good or not by stripping it right back to it’s barest form”.
He continued: “Our friend and label mate Luke Sital-Singh produced the track and he has a real knack of exposing the tenderness and beauty within a song. When i say tenderness and beauty, i really mean he’s very good at making a positive song sound negative. Blast the original version on a Saturday night and jam this whilst dealing with your Sunday self reflection”.
Recently, the band also revealed some extensive UK touring plans. Their shows will kick off in their adopted home of Brighton, with the trio stopping in Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol and Birmingham along the way. They’ll then wrap things up with a show at London’s Scala. Tickets are on sale now.
