Theophilus London and Tame Impala release video for Theo Impala track ‘Only You’
The pair have released a retro clip for their cover of Steve Monite’s 1984 classic.
Earlier this month, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Theophilus London announced they were forming a new duo - the cleverly titled Theo Impala - and debuted new music at a show in LA.
Now they’ve shared the video for their first official track ‘Only You’, which is a cover of the 1984 song by Steve Monite. The clip was directed by Frankie Latina and sees the pair perform the track on retro VHS-style film. Watch the video below.
‘Only You’ is the first of two tracks we’ve heard so far from the duo; they also played a track called ‘Whiplash’ on Virgil Abloh’s Beats 1 radio show recently, which first surfaced in 2016.
Tame Impala are reportedly working on a new album, after making their live comeback at this summer’s Citadel festival in London.
