Thom Yorke posts edit of Radiohead’s ‘A Wolf at the Door’ lyrics online

For a second day running, Thom Yorke has posted a cryptic new image online, suggesting that new material could be on its way in some form.

This morning, the Radiohead frontman took to Twitter to share new lyrics for ‘A Wolf at the Door’, the closing track on the band’s 2003 album ‘Hail to the Thief’.

Coupled with customary scribbles, the edit includes new lyrics such as “sticking you off a list / no time to say goodbye / no time to make your peace / i want to start again”.

Yesterday, Thom Yorke posted a mysterious image of a new white label 12”. Playing a record deck, it could be seen next to Stanley Donwood’s wave artwork, used on Yorke’s solo LP ‘The Eraser’ and Atoms For Peace’s ‘AMOK’ debut.

Speculation is rife as to whether Yorke is about to share new material. These cryptic images coupled together would suggest that he’s working on new edits of previous Radiohead tracks, perhaps in solo form. He’s been working in an East London studio with Nigel Godrich, although Radiohead were due to begin work on the follow-up to 2011’s ‘The King of Limbs’ this September.

DIY put together a speculative feature, asking whether the white label could amount to new Radiohead, Atoms For Peace, solo material, or even the 2014 John Lewis Christmas song.

Last month Radiohead updated their ‘Polyfauna’ app with new material.

Update: Thom’s explained the lyrics post as part of a process he and Stanley Donwood have been going through while in the Radiohead studio. The band are on the second day of overdubs, he’s said.
