Thundercat gets his lift jazz on in new song ‘Bus On These Streets’
The bass-playing maestro returns.
Bass-slapping maestro and collaborator extraordinaire Thundercat is back, with the humid, lift-jazz nodding bundle of fun, ‘Bus on These Streets’.
Taking the mick out of our dependence on technology, it woozes and wobbles all over the place like an enthusiastic game of Pokemon Go in the park. Programmed by long-time collaborator and Brainfeeder labelmate Flying Lotus, it’s Thundercat’s first new music since his 2015 mini-album ‘The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam’.
Oh, and the artwork is quite something too. Seriously. It features an anthropomorphic buttplug.
