Tim Burgess Announces New Album

He’ll release his second solo record on 24th September.

Tim Burgess is to release a new album this autumn.

The Charlatans man, who released his autobiography earlier this year, will unleash his second solo LP on 24th September.

Titled ‘Oh No I Love You’, the album was recorded in Nashville with producer Mark Nevers, and features a long list of guest appearances - including R Stevie Moore, Factory Floor’s Gabe Gurnsey and members of Lambchop, My Morning Jacket and Clem Snide.

Of the record, Burgess explains: ‘The root of this album goes right back to a Kurt Wagner show in Manchester… I carried Kurt’s guitar to the car for him. I took the chance to ask him if he would ever consider writing a song with me. He said, ‘Sure Tim, you write the music and I’ll write the words’. That one song turned into an album and almost ten years after we first talked about it, the album is ready’

The album will be accompanied by a string of tour dates in the UK and Ireland.
