Tkay Maidza has shared details of a new album, the follow up to her 2016 self-titled debut and her ‘Last Year Was Weird’ EP trilogy. Entitled ‘Sweet Justice’, it’s set to be released on 3rd November via 4AD and will feature her recent Flume-produced single, ‘Silent Assassin’.

Also on production duties for various album tracks are collaborators Stint and Kaytranada, who work with Tkay to execute her vision of a project that tackles self-doubt, karma, accountability and growth, all with a healthy dose of energy and fun. Discussing the record, she says: “‘Sweet Justice’ was a way for me to channel my emotions from what I’ve experienced in the last two years. It’s a diary of things and thoughts I’ve kept to myself. Making the record was a healing experience and I’m grateful to have worked with producers who have inspired me throughout my career.”

Alongside the album announcement, she has also revealed a new track , ‘Ring-A-Ling’ - full of confident bars and seamless flow, it’s a clear statement of intent for the project as a whole. “I wanted to make an empowering song that tells others that my biggest focus are my goals”, Tkay says of the single.
