So, Tom DeLonge is actually going to write that book about UFOs

Upon his exit from Blink-182, Tom DeLonge cited a fairly novel reason; he wanted to pursue his passion for UFOs. “I’ve always had a passion for space and the future. But when you dive into this type of material,” he said at the time. “It’s a lot more than just science and technology. It has to do with religion and cosmology and it has to do with politics and secrecy. So it’s a pretty fantastic ride.”

Under a year on, it looks like he’s making good on that research, and publishing his space-based findings in a new book. Titled Sekret Machines: God, the non-fiction book’s out on 7th March. It was written alongside the occult expert Peter Levenda. Right.

According to Levenda, the book “is the opening salvo on the complacency of human institutions where the UFO Phenomenon is concerned. It’s designed to shake people up, to make them question their assumptions.” Bit much for first thing in the morning.

Rolling Stone reports that DeLonge interviewed people from the US Department of Defense, aerospace companies, and Nasa.
