Tom Delonge reveals new track ‘New World’
The former Blink-182 guitarist has offered up a first taste of ‘To The Stars…’
Earlier this month, former Blink-182 guitarist Tom Delonge promised that he’d be showcasing the first taste of his new solo album on 9th March. He’s made good on that promise, and has offered fans ‘New World’.
Taken from ‘To The Stars’, Delonge’s forthcoming solo full-length, which he describes as a collection of demos, odds and ends, the new track sees the Angels and Airwaves frontman play very much between the boundaries of his primary projects, with the track bearing some of the more heavy elements of AVA’s spectrum, whilst still being driven along by decidedly pop-punk riffs.
Whilst ‘To The Stars…’ is set to come out on 21st April, Delonge has also promised that he’ll continue to showcase new material, with tracks due to land every two weeks. The second song will be released on 23rd March and the third on 6th April.
This all comes following on from the guitarist’s rather dramatic split from Blink-182, which happened earlier this year.
The rest of Blink-182, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have recently been sharing photos of their rehearsals with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, who will be standing in for Tom at the Musink Festival, which takes place from 20th to 22nd March.
