Tom Delonge confirms new album ‘To The Stars…

The demos, odds and ends collection is out April 21st

Once the dust settled from the Blink 182 bust-up, Tom Delonge teased new music under the banner #MusicWithoutAHome. Now, in a video on his website, Tom Delonge has confirmed an album - a collection of demos, odds and ends - called ‘To The Stars…’, out on April 21st.

The ex-Blink-182 guitarist has promised the first song can be heard by those who preorder ‘To The Stars…’ on March 9th with the album containing complete songs of both old and new material. The second song will be released on March 23rd and the third on April 6th.

Tom Delonge has also shared four snippets of new songs via a brief video. There’s hints of Angels & Airwaves, Box Car Racer and classic Blink-182 alongside the nostalgic vocal promise, “I’m gonna build a punk-rock band.”

The rest of Blink-182, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, have been relatively quiet since the break up, sharing photos of their rehearsals with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba who will be standing in for Tom at the Musink Festival in March. Their slot at the festival, which iscurated by Barker, in California is their only confirmed date so far but in an interview with Rolling Stone Mark confirmed, “Travis and I are intent on protecting the legacy of Blink-182 and continue to do what we’ve been doing for the past two decades: continue playing the songs.”

While we wait for something new, here’s Tom Delonge at his best with Box Car Racer.
