Tom Morello To Put On Occupy SXSW Showcase

Tom Morello has announced plans to team up with the Occupy Austin movement for a ‘Flash Mob Dance Party’.

The Occupy showcase is to take place this Friday night (16th March).

The Rage Against The Machine guitarist told Rolling Stone: ‘SXSW has a lot of specialty shows – record companies, vodka companies, promoters and things like that. I thought it was important that at a music gathering of that size, to have a place where the rebels, revolutionaries, rockers, rappers and the 99 percent could gather and have a mighty SXSW throw down.’

The Austin festival is now underway (it began on the 11th) and runs until the 20th March.
