Turns out Beck’s Dad worked on a Beyoncé album

He’s worked with just about everyone else, too, by the looks of things.

While there are still corners of the world wondering whether Kanye can find it in him to respect Beck’s artistry (clue: he probably can), users on the Reddit ‘Today I Learned’ forum have pointed out another crossover between the artists involved in that whole Grammy thing.

It has already been pointed out that Kanye riffed on ‘Loser’ lyrics for his ‘Get Em High’ as featured on 2004 debut ‘The College Dropout’, now it’s Beyoncé’s turn. Sort of.

Beck’s father, Canadian composer David Campbell, has worked on a lot of records - from Biffy Clyro’s ‘Opposites’, Miley Cyrus’ ‘Bangerz’ and Adele’s ’21’ to Green Day’s ‘Nimrod’, Hole’s ‘Celebrity Skin’ and My Chemical Romance’s ‘The Black Parade’ (and a lot of Beck records, obviously).

And, as the users pointed out, one of the records listed on his extensive Wikipedia page is Beyoncé’s 2006 LP, ‘B’Day’, where Campbell is credited for ‘string arrangement and conducting’.
