Ulrika Spacek have a new video for ‘Silvertonic’

They released ‘Modern English Decoration’ earlier in the year.

Earlier in the year, Ulrika Spacek released their new album ‘Modern English Decoration’, and now they’re back with a new video for ‘Silvertonic’.

Directed by Kyle Macfadzen, it’s a look into the interactions between people, as two people work out and train for some unknown goal. It gets quite intense, especially since the lighting is often quite moody and muted.

The band said: “This is the second video we have made to support our album ‘Modern English Decoration’. In marriage with our video ‘Full of Men’ we have put a common human action, such as ‘training’ under abstract scrutiny. This summer we saw a lot of personal trainers in the park and observed strange interactions between people. To us, obsessively training seems quite menial.

“Though its a world we don’t understand, we appreciate that it is not so dissimilar to our obsessions of having to make music. This video was made by filmmaker Kyle Macfadzean, who we continue to enjoy collaborating with”.

Next month the band are set to support Ride on their upcoming UK tour, but they’ll also be playing a headline show at Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge. Tickets are on sale now.
