Phone home:
Ulrika Spacek are previewing their new album through an answering machine
A new track from ‘Modern English Decoration’ will be previewed each day.
After sharing a menacing video for ‘Full of Men’ earlier
this month, London’s Ulrika Spacek are set to preview their new album ‘Modern English Decoration’in full in a very unique way.
The album is out on 2nd June, but anyone wanting a sneak
peek can do so now. All you have to do is listen to an answer machine at the
South London home where the band produced, recorded and wrote the whole record,
known as KEN (so named because of an inscription above the front door).
Each day, the band will be previewing a new track, which
fans can listen to by calling the number +44 020 8965 9299. You’ll also be able
to leave messages for the band (and they encourage you to do so!) They’ve also
given a sneak peek at what the answering machine actually looks like. It’s a
fairly retro Kingfisher model.
Have a look at the details about Call KEN below and revisit the
lead single of ‘Modern English Decoration’, ‘Mimi Pretend’.
