Unknown Mortal Orchestra announce new album, ‘Multi-Love’
Out this May, listen to the title-track now.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra have confirmed plans to release their new, third album ‘Multi-Love’ on 25th May via Jagjaguwar.
The follow-up to 2013’s ‘II’ is being led by a title-track, which begins as a curious, structureless wash before finding a tense, worked-up pace and even giving the odd hint of far-out disco. Ruban Nielson’s vocals sound submerged in effects.
“It’s more about being someone who makes things happen in concrete ways. Building old synthesizers and bringing them back to life, creating sounds that aren’t quite like anyone else’s,” said Nielson when describing the album’s ethos. He spoke to DIY in detail about the record last month.
