Unknown Mortal Orchestra share new track, ‘Can’t Keep Checking My Phone

New single is taken from the upcoming album, ‘Multi-Love’

Unknown Mortal Orchestra have shared a new track, titled ‘Can’t Keep Checking My Phone’.

The new single follows the lead single ‘Multi-Love’ from February, with the album of the same name out on 25th May via Jagjaguwar.

‘Can’t Keep Checking My Phone’ is a seriously busy track, beginning with a peel of brass that adds clattering percussion and funk lines into a Eastern-tinged stream of sunshine. Like ‘Multi-Love’, Ruban Nielson’s vocals posses a more recognisably classic R&B/pop tone, with Unknown Mortal Orchestra seemingly more high fidelity than lo-fi these days.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra recently announced four UK dates in September, playing the following alongside previously announced dates in May, including DIY’s stage at Sound City (22nd-24th May). Catch them at the following:

MAY
20 Bristol, Thekla
21 London, Islington Assembly Hall
22 Coventry, Warwick University

SEPTEMBER

24 Birmingham, The Institute
