On the telly
Unknown Mortal Orchestra cover The Grateful Dead on Conan
They played their cover of ‘Shakedown Street’, which featured on recent ‘Day Of The Dead’ compilation.

Everyone’s been going Grateful Dead mad since The National’s bloody massive ‘Day Of The Dead’ compilation, dedicated to the legends, came out last month.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra are the latest act to take their contribution - a cover of ‘Shakedown Street’ - to the telly, performing last night (7th June) on Conan.
The National themselves covered ‘Morning Dew’ on Colbert last month. Unknown Mortal Orchestra are set to play this year’s Glastonbury later this month, with a pair of UK shows in Cambridge and Liverpool flanking the festival set.
