Vampire Weekend debut new track & live line-up during California shows

Ezra Koenig & co. previewed a new track reportedly titled ‘Flower Moon’.

This past weekend, Vampire Weekend took to the stage for the first time in four years and not only did they debut new material during their set, but they also showed off two new touring members.

The band played two shows at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai, California last week - in part, to raise money for the Ojai area and for the 805 UndocuFund. While their first gig saw Ezra Koenig & co. run through their debut album in full, their second show boasted a glimpse of new material, which - according to Stereogum - is titled ‘Flower Moon’.

The track, which could feature on their long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s ‘Modern Vampires of the City’, will also apparently feature an appearance from The Internet’s Steve Lacy.

You can watch a snippet of their new track, as filmed at the show, below.

The band also debuted their new-look live line-up, which features Greta Morgan of Springtime Carnivore on keys and Brian Robert Jones of Human Natural on guitar.

Vampire Weekend are set to return to the UK later this summer, when they headline this year’s End of the Road Festival.
