Vaults air debut video for ‘Lifespan’ single
London band bring their meticulous approach to a dark and gloomy first clip.
A couple of weeks back, London trio Vaults made a majestic, standout performance at Latitude Festival. Their fest debut, most electronic pop acts find an immediate stumbling block when approaching their first gigs - not this lot.
A good chunk of that success was down to the sheer meticulousness of their performance. Everything was covered, no stone left unturned. Strings were replicated live, even dance moves were accounted for.
The same idea is applied to their first ever video, for ‘Lifespan’. They helped direct the clip, alongside Nick Rutter. It’s shot at the river Styx, and it’s a dark and gloomy, perfectly detailed introduction to their murky world.
Vaults play Beacons Festival (8th August), Electric Picnic (31st), Bestival (5th September) and Festival Number 6 (7th September). They also play a London headline gig at the ICA, 3rd September.
