London trio Vaults have shared a video for the title track of their latest EP ‘Vultures’. The video is a collaboration with SHOWstudio, with director Rei Nadal taking the helm for the visual. Nadal’s video makes use of insects to translate the juxtaposition of romance and nightmares, which Nadal finds to be a clear message in the track:

“‘It made me think of a group of woman chanting to each other and to themselves, not to sleep but to comfort each other, telling their story and what it hurts them but also sharing their love and joy. I think these two sentiments were equally important to be represented in the video. As a woman there are so many difficulties in the world; the fear of violence every day, dehumanisation because of my sex, censorship… But in the end I just want to remind myself how lucky I am to be a woman,” stated the director.

Vaults are in DIY’s new Class of 2015 issue.

‘Vultures’ was released last month and Vaults have recently announced details of a tour supporting Paolo Nutini next year. Watch the video and check out live dates below.
