Wasia Project announce debut album ‘Nocturne’
The sibling duo of Will Gao and Olivia Hardy will release their first full-length this September.

Almost two years on from the release of their last EP, Wasia Project have announced details of their long-awaited debut album.
The sibling duo - made up of Will Gao and Olivia Hardy - have announced plans to follow up their 2024 ‘Isotope’ EP with their first full-length, ‘Nocturne’, which is scheduled for release on 18th September via AWAL Recordings.
Set to be twelve tracks in length and written and recorded mostly over the last year, the album promises to explore life and identity in our new post-COVID, digitally-focussed world. Speaking of the news in an Instagram post, the duo have said: “This was a challenging process to undergo and it took us most of last year. We had never found ourselves with a stretch of time to focus fully on making music, as usually we worked in and around touring, other creative projects and school. But we have come through with a piece of work we are both super proud with. And we feel this new work is a representation of who we are now.”
Alongside the news of their debut, the band have also shared an ethereal preview in the form of ‘Bleeding Gold’, which follows on from their previously-released single ‘2515’. “‘Bleeding Gold’ is a song about nostalgia, returning to your roots, and understanding that though you can’t go back to your younger self,” the band have said of the track, “your past will always be part of you and travel with you as you go forth.”
