Watch Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Perform ‘Holocene’ With The Roots
Justin Vernon goes autotune crazy, performing with Jimmy Fallon’s in-house band.

Justin Vernon has been consumed by the vocoder. Swallowed up whole, the autotune-delivering gadget is no longer a tool. It’s an extension of Bon Iver. Bon Ivocoder.
Vernon took to the Jimmy Fallon stage for the below, exclusive web only performance of ‘Holocene’, tearjerker #1 from his second self-titled album. The performance isn’t customary. Slow grooves from The Roots match up to the emotional, autotuned display from Justin, like a robot weeping onto his wires and blowing up into pieces. Quite.
