Watch Charli XCX Showcase New ‘Breaking Up’ Track At SXSW

Whether ‘Breaking Up’ is stamped in the Rivers Cuomo trademark is anyone’s guess, but earlier today news broke that Charli XCX had been working alongside the Weezer frontman on new material for a forthcoming follow-up to ‘True Romance’. It’s easy to imagine that the two might’ve coined this straight-down-the-line, hard hitting pop punk track.

Even within this fan footage from yesterday’s SXSW set (in which a guy in front of a camera looks at his phone the entire time - come on), the track stands out as an absolute monster.
