Watch: Flaming Lips Cover Tame Impala’s ‘Elephant’
Wayne Coyne and co perform ‘Elephant’ in a cape-centric studio recording.

Psychedelic tour buddies The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala have agreed to cover each other’s tracks for the occasion. It’s part of tour-only vinyl release. Tame Impala have also recorded versions of the ‘Lips’ ‘Are You a Hypnotist?’ and ‘Silver Trembling Hands’.
Wayne Coyne and co go batshit crazy in the studio for their take on ‘Elephant’. It’s a song that was practically written for them in the heavens, so their cover doesn’t strictly shift the formula.
