Watch: Footage Of The Stone Roses’ Surprise Gig Surfaces
The band played a free gig at Warrington’s Parr Hall last night.

The Stone Roses surprised some, and inevitably caused a queue of people who look like your Dad yesterday (23rd May), by announcing a last-minute surprise gig at Warrington’s Parr Hall.
The free gig was open to all who’d got some old Stone Roses stuff - records, CDs, official t-shirts - or some new: tickets to their forthcoming Heaton Park concerts.
Anyway, despite (well, according to various Twitter users over yesterday evening) being told to put their cameras down by frontman Ian Brown, some clips of the band’s performance have emerged online.
So, below are snippets of ‘Made of Stone’, and a new song.
