Watch Future Islands Play ‘Doves’ And ‘Spirit’ On Kimmel
Watch Samuel T. Herring bring the moves, showcasing two songs from the ‘Singles’ LP.
Here we go again. Last time Future Islands made a US televised appearance, they essentially grew into the most talked-about band on the planet in the space of one month. Post-Letterman, things have since simmered down a touch - although they’re probably the most exciting name on the bill at this year’s Great Escape Festival (Brighton, 8th-10th May) - but they’re back on our screens with two performances from last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Performing two takes from 4AD album ‘Singles’, Samuel T. Herring didn’t exactly shy away from the now celebrated mix of impassioned vocals and messed-up dance moves. Watch them play ‘Doves’ and ‘Spirit’ below.

While the music is a little more inward, more reserved, it still carries all the hallmarks of the signature Future Islands sound.
