Watch: Gallows Unleash Video For ‘Last June’

The band’s third full-length will be titled ‘Gallows’, and gets released on 10th September, through their own Venn Records.

Gallows have unveiled their brand new video for ‘Last June’.

The band premiered the song on BBC Radio 1 early this week, and have now unveiled the black & white visual accompaniment. The video itself was directed by Marshall Darlings and is compiled of footage filmed at an array of their recent live appearances, which cumulated in their Sailor Jerry show on Hotel Street in London.

The five-piece, now fronted by ex-Alexisonfire singer/ guitarist Wade MacNeil, have also confirmed plans to release their brand new album.

The band’s third full-length - and first with MacNeil at the helm - will be titled ‘Gallows’, and gets released on 10th September, through their own Venn Records.

The tracklisting is as follows, and the artwork can be found above.

Speaking to us in this month’s issue of DIY Magazine, the frontman made the following comments of the recording experience.

“We’re trying to write a record that builds on the best parts of the first two Gallows records,” explains MacNeil. “The things that I’ve always loved about the band, those weird angular guitar moments from the first record. Then the second record has this anthemic quality that’s kind of like that first wave of punk, but with a smarter way of doing it. It’s a little more intelligent, it’s more modern.

“So, taking those things and then building on them and trying to do them better. Trying to push ourselves into another direction entirely on top of that. I think it’s the best record I’ve ever made. It’s the record I’ve always wanted to make. I think that everyone in the band can say that, and that doesn’t happen every day.”

The band have also confirmed details of a full UK tour, planned around the release.
