Novella have filmed practice room session for ‘You’re Not That Cool’, the final track from their recent self-titled EP - watch it above.

The EP was recorded by Rory Attwell on his Thames-dwelling Lightship95 boat studio, and the tracklisting is as follows: 1. Eat Yourself; 2. He’s My Morning; 3. Don’t Believe Ayn Rand; 4. Strange Things and 5. You’re Not That Cool.

We recently spoke to the band’s Hollie Warren, and she told us what the band have on their minds when it comes to their next release: “I think that when we wrote the songs for the EP, we wanted it to be a collection of songs that we had spent a bit more time thinking about and putting together. I think they definitely reflect where we were, in January… I think our sound and the new stuff that we’ve written has moved on even further.

“What we’re more excited with is thinking about the new stuff fitting together more as an album. We’re imagining it on an album more than even playing it live. A lot of the stuff that we’ve written so far has been to play live; be apart of our live show. So, the next step with the songs that we write will be with the album in mind.

“We feel like we can take our time a bit more. Even the songs that we’ve written, one of them has been a work in progress for a few months now, so there doesn’t feel like there’s a massive pressure to get stuff written.”
