Watch Rina Sawayama’s new video for ‘Cherry’
The video comes just before the start of Rina’s ‘Ordinary Superstar’ tour.
Rina Sawayama has released the video for her pop banger ‘Cherry’!
‘Cherry’ is the second release of new music from Rina in 2018 since the release of her mini-album RINA last year, following her ‘anti-valentine’ track ‘Valentine (What’s It Gonna Be)’ back in February.
Directed by Isaac Lock, the new video sees Rina taking over a dance studio with a cast of backing dancers. Explaining the concept behind the video, choreographer Joelle Fontaine says: “With this song and creative I specifically casted several POC Queer dancers fully embracing their femininity as that’s something you don’t see. So the movement is based around the struggle of coming to terms with what society has told you is wrong, but in the end is a justified feeling.”

Rina is also heading out on tour soon, with dates both in the UK and US. See them below.
