‘In the Lonely Hour’ debut album is all about unrequited love, and ‘Leave Your Lover”s pretty much the centrepiece, expressing itself in the plainest terms possible. In a new video for the track, things are just as simple and affecting. Sam spends glitzy nights out with Dasiy Lowe and a mysterious stranger, where they trawl Paris, sip champagne and cruise the streets. Not everything’s ideal in Sam’s world though, as he’s missing one vital thing in his life. Initially the video looks like it’s leading to an obvious conclusion, but there’s a sweet twist, 100% worth holding out for.
