Watch: Sampha Unveils New ‘Happens’ Track

The second in a series of ‘Sampha sitting at a piano and singing beautiful songs’ entries, ‘Happens’ continues a dim red light, sweetly sung theme, linking up with the Young Turks singing’s recently unveiled new version of ‘Too Much’.

‘I can’t let this happen again’ runs the chorus of ‘Happens’, which is unfortunate because there he is, in a strangely lit room, being filmed playing a song. It’s happening again. This number’s a fair bit sweeter and more sunny-side-up than ‘Too Much’. Piano chords are bright and flickering, almost reaching a jazz arrangement in their sparse application.
