Watch Sharon Van Etten perform ‘Break Me’ on Kimmel
New Yorker performed a highlight from her ‘Are We There’ record.
Last night, Brooklyn musician Sharon Van Etten performed another US televised slot, this time on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Van Etten performed ‘Break Me’, a glistening standout from her most recent album, ‘Are We There’.
Earlier this year she played ‘Every Time The Sun Comes Up’ on The Late Show With David Letterman.
She’s set to arrive in the UK this November for a small run of dates, with shows taking place in Manchester, Glasgow, Digbeth and Brighton.
On her new record, Sharon Van Etten told DIY: “Almost everything I write is emotional. When I write stuff a lot of the time I don’t know what I’m writing about until I’ve really lived with it and asked myself what it is I’m writing because a lot of it is stream of conscious lyrics. So it’s like a 9-month psychoanalysis of myself but it’s very true.”
