Watch: Sigur Ros Unveil New Video For ‘Varúð’
The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment hosts the second video version of ‘Varúð’.

Sigur Ros have given us another visual feast, thanks to the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment, but the twist this time? It’s the second video for their track ‘Varúð’.
If you can’t remember what the first clip was like, you can check it out here, but otherwise have a watch of the new visuals, directed by Ryan McGinley, below.
Sigur Ros released their latest album ‘Valtari’ on the 28th May, and DIY spoke to Georg Holm, who gave us an insight into the processes of ‘Valtari’
‘This record has been so strange. It’s been a strange process, and everything about it has just been different from everything else.
‘We did record a couple of songs. Bits of songs, at the same time as we were finishing ‘Takk…’. Somewhere in that time period. Then we recorded in London… It’s been all of these little bits and pieces, added to it and taken away from it. It’s been kind of schizophrenic. Sometimes not realising what we have, forgetting songs and discovering new things, like, ‘Oh yeah, we did that! That’s really good.’
‘It was great fun doing this. It was just so far in between, and - like I say - schizophrenic: not realising that we had a whole album. It didn’t happen until late last year that we realised we had an album, but I’d say it was an enjoyable process, definitely. The whole thing, it’s been good.’
