Watch St. Vincent cover Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ in New York

St Vincent performed a show at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music earlier this week, during which she dropped a stripped-back cover of Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’.

Alongside her collaborator Thomas Bartlett on the piano, Annie Clark performed the track in front of black backdrop as part of a show in support of new album MassEducation - an album comprising of stripped-back versions of St Vincent’s album ‘Masseduction’. You can watch the performance below.

Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ was originally recorded for his 1972 album ‘Transformer’ and was initially released as a single on a double-A-side along with ‘Walk On The Wild Side’.

St Vincent previously shared MassEducation singles ‘Savior’ and ‘Slow Slow Disco.
