Watch Temples perform ‘Shelter Song’ on Ellen
Psych outfit made an unlikely appearance on US daytime television.
Are Temples taking over the US? It’s an unlikely match, but their psych-steeped music - bathed in UK influences from several decades back - is making a big impression. Last night the Kettering four-piece made a US television appearance on Ellen, of all things, with the host saying that “the first time I heard their music, I knew I had to have them on the show.”
Taken from their ‘Sun Structures’ LP, the band ran through a performance of ‘Shelter Song’. This was their daytime US television debut, and they more than lived up to the slightly surreal occasion.
Earlier this year they performed the same track on Fallon’s late night show. Watch that here.
