Wavves, Flying Lotus, More Confirmed For ‘GTA 5’ Soundtrack

Twin Shadow, Tyler, the Creator and Thundercat are all set to feature.

The soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto 5 (out this September through Rockstar Games) is set to involve 240 songs, including a station curated entirely by Flying Lotus.

Flylo FM is prepped to feature songs from Tyler, the Creator, Machinedrum, Thundercat and plenty more.

In a press release, soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich also confirmed that Wavves and Twin Shadow will be amongst those involved, with Pavlovich stating: ‘Soundtracks have been an essential part of all our games and for Grand Theft Auto V, we wanted to cover the full breadth of the modern L.A. scene.’

Meanwhile, Wavves’ Nathan Williams and Stephen Pope have contributed to a station named Vinewood Boulevard Radio. ‘This is a modern rock station, the embodiment of the young Los Angeles rock scene. For us Wavves is the most exciting, so it was pretty amazing to work with those guys,’ Pavlovich told Rolling Stone.
