Westside Cowboy announce debut EP ‘This Better Be Something Great’ and share new single ‘Alright Alright Alright’
The Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition winners will be opening the Woodsies stage at the festival.

Westside Cowboy have officially announced their debut EP, ‘This Better Be Something Great’, due on 8th August. The band have also shared a frantic new single entitled ‘Alright Alright Alright’, which is out now following a BBC 6 Music premiere with Huw Stephens.
“This song was the first original thing we ever played as a band, before we had any real ambition for the project to reach the ears of anyone outside of that room,” the band have said on the new track. “It is a punk song about a cowboy, and if anyone can take away any more from it than that, consider us impressed.”
‘This Better Be Something Great’ was all produced by Lewis Whiting, guitarist of the Mercury Prize winning quartet English Teacher. Westside Cowboy’s previous singles ‘I’ve Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love (Until I Met You)’ and ‘Shells’ have already been met with an onslaught of praise and received copious 6 Music plays.
It’s shaping up to be a big year for the group, who have also won this year’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition. They will be celebrating by opening the Woodsies stage on Sunday 29th June at the festival. Their busy schedule will continue later this year, too, when they will go on tour with Blondshell and Black Country, New Road.
