WHY? Offer ‘Pumpin’ With The Chump’ Experience

Yoni Wolf is inviting thirty fans to join him on a mile run and exercise session, ahead of their show at Islington’s Assembly Hall.

Before going to a gig, some people go eat dinner. Sometimes, people go and have a few drinks. But it’s not often that they embark upon a mile long jog and indulge in an exercise session with the frontman of the band they’re going to see.

Well, not unless they’re off to a WHY? show.

As it just so happens - for anyone out there who has wondered what it would be like to do just that - the band’s Yoni Wolf is inviting thirty fans to join him in ‘pumpin’ with the chump’ (a bit like this) ahead of their upcoming London show. This will involve - and we quote - ‘a mile long run lead by Yoni Wolf, culminating in a local park where Yoni will lead a short work out with his honorary chumps. Push ups, stretches, hilarious commentary from the man himself and a brief warm down can be expected.’

So, if you’ve ever fancied giving it a shot, it’ll take place at 6pm on Thursday 9th May, in advance of the band’s appearance at Islington’s Assembly Hall.

To join in, all you have to do is top up your show ticket or grab yourself the combination ticket by heading here.

Of course, we couldn’t tell you all of this without some inspirational words from the man himself. ‘it’s not about your man-moan levels, you can be amped as a champ but still pump like a chump. Let the iron be your bff, breath, focus, fannnnntastic!’

So, get your running shoes on and join in.

WHY? head out on a tour of the UK - sponsored by DIY! - and Ireland next month. They’ll also be making a stop at TV On The Radio’s ATP.
