WHY? Set Up Kickstarter Fund For ‘Mumps, etc.’ Documentary

on Kickstarter to help fund it.

The project comes from amateur filmmakers and Why? fans Scott Fredette and Alex Parks, who, once Yoni Wolf moved back to Cincinnati from California, began filming footage of the band as they worked on the record.

Two years on and with the record finally out there, Fredette and Parks have “hundreds of hours of footage” which they promise holds “a fascinating story”. Unfortunately though, they’re still burdened with day jobs, and need the help of Kickstarter pledgers in order to focus on the project full-time and pull in a few extra, professional hands.

Rewards include the usual goodies such as special editions of the DVD and digital copies of any Why? record, but also include many special treats for the most generous of pledges, including the opportunity to have the band write a song for you as well as autographed copies of their various records.
