Wolf Alice cover Years & Years’ ‘Desire’ in BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
The band’s debut album is sitting at #1 in the midweeks.
With debut album, ‘My Love Is Cool’ released this week (and their appearance on the cover of the July issue of DIY nationwide tomorrow), Wolf Alice visited the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform in session for Clara Amfo this afternoon.
As well as another new version of mainstay ‘Bros’ - this one amping up the acoustic guitars for a bluegrass version of the track - the band took on Years & Years’ Top 40 single ‘Desire’. Completely unsurprising spoiler alert - it’s bloody brilliant.
If that wasn’t enough, the band’s label have spilled that the album is currently sitting at #1 in the midweek charts.
The band play Glastonbury Festival this weekend, plus further festivals including T in the Park, Latitude, and Reading & Leeds this summer, and a massive UK headline tour in the autumn, including Brixton Academy on 26th September.
Watch their cover of Years & Years ‘Desire’ below.
Wolf Alice will play Latitude (16th - 19th July) where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
