Wolf Alice to appear in new film On The Road
The band were filmed on tour earlier this year for the newest endeavour from BAFTA-winning filmmaker Michael Winterbottom.
Wolf Alice must be running out of things to tick off their bucket list: now, they’re starring in a brand new film, directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Michael Winterbottom.
Titled On the Road, the touring film follows the London-based quartet on their sixteen-date tour of the UK and Ireland that took place earlier this year, all through the eyes of a new member of their touring crew.
The resulting film - which took in every ounce of life backstage and, as you may have imagined, on the road - will premiere at the 60th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express®.
It’ll be screened on Sunday 9th October at the BFI Southbank in London, with the 60th BFI London Film Festival taking place from 5th to 16th October.
Michael Winterbottom, who’s worked on films such as 24 Hour Party People and The Trip, directs, while it was produced by Melissa Parmenter and Anthony Wilcox at Revolution Films, with Julian Bird and Abi Gadsby as executive producers.
